Becoming a World-Class Hunter: A Bow Hunter’s Spiritual Journey
This publication covers the time from when I first picked up a bow and arrow at the age of 4 to the year 2009. You see how I progressed as a hunter and all the early lessons I learned. At first I was learning primarily from my father and from my mistakes. As I got older, there was a spiritual dimension that began to develop in my hunting where I actually began to use hunting as a way to learn how to effectively pray and grow closer to God. Simultaneously, I was learning insight on how to pray in regular life situations and make smarter choices for my life. I originally wrote this book to share those spiritual ideas with others. However, I know that some people may not be interested in that dimension of hunting at this time. If you happen to be one of them, why not take a look at it anyway? Sometimes we don’t think we want something, but when we actually end up with it, we wish we had gotten it sooner. Why not add an extra dimension to your hunting? I’m not talking about just looking at nature and seeing God’s hand in creating it. Sin and the Spirituality of Archery
This publication covers my growth in archery from the time I started at the age of 4 up to my late 30s. In that respect, it covers more than 30 years of archery experience. There are several unique qualities that this book contains. Firstly, I learned my archery accuracy through many years of intense trial and error and analyzing in getting better. I wasn’t just told, “do this or do that.” As such, I have an incredibly rich depth of understanding of the inner mechanics of archery that not everyone has. I’ve also been told I have a gift and talent for teaching. This means that I take all of my experience and insight and I present it to you in a very interesting and understandable way. Another unique quality of this publication is that I present a few spiritual ideas that can be gained from archery that you likely won’t find anywhere else, because they are my own spiritual insights. These insights are intended and designed to help you both in archery and in your everyday life experiences. Lastly, not to be left out, I go through the entire process of shooting in great detail and break down virtually every aspect of shooting so that you can look at each of these components and learn how to improve on them. The end result is improved accuracy while shooting a bow and arrow. To help depict these aspects of shooting form, I include pictures of the specific details I am talking about. Although most of this information is designed and intended to compound bow shooters, I also include information and ideas on shooting a recurve bow.
